Compatibility

The RBE374-100NAS is factory-configured as a standalone mesh system and does not require integration with legacy access points or third-party WiFi controllers. It operates as a self-contained NETGEAR ecosystem — all four units pair automatically during initial setup and communicate via dedicated backhaul channels. Compatible with standard enterprise clients: laptops, tablets, IP phones, security cameras, IoT sensors, and access control readers that support 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards. Wired uplink to your core network via Ethernet accelerates backhaul between router and satellites, offloading wireless spectrum for client traffic.

Installation Notes

Position the primary router (unit 1) near your network edge or main distribution point. Satellites work best within 30–50 feet of the router or adjacent satellite in line-of-sight or light-obstruction environments. Avoid mounting directly inside metal-frame walls or behind industrial equipment. Each unit requires AC mains power (standard outlet); no PoE injection available. Initial pairing occurs via the NETGEAR mobile app or web dashboard — scan the QR code on each unit to add it to the mesh. Once commissioned, the system auto-updates firmware over-the-air, so plan for minimal downtime during maintenance windows.
