Description

Panduit FW2RPU1U1ONM033 OM5 LC Duplex Plenum Fiber Optic Patch Cable

Overview

The FW2RPU1U1ONM033 is a Panduit QuickNet™ pre-terminated OM5 wideband multimode fiber optic patch cable — 33 meters (108.3 ft) of 2-fiber, 50/125µm construction with LC duplex connectors on both ends. It ships factory-terminated and tested, which eliminates field termination labor and the risk of on-site connector failures. The OFNP (plenum) jacket rating means it can be routed through air-handling spaces in commercial buildings without requiring conduit — a hard requirement in most U.S. data centers and telecom rooms under NEC Article 770. OM5 wideband multimode supports parallel wavelength-division multiplexing (SWDM), making it the correct choice for high-density fiber optic cabling runs where you need room to grow from 40G to 100G without recabling. If you're building out a data center structured cabling infrastructure today and anticipate bandwidth upgrades, OM5 avoids the full-rip cost later — OM3 or OM4 won't support SWDM transceivers without replacement.

Compatibility

Designed for LC duplex port equipment including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and HPE switches and routers with SFP+, SFP28, or QSFP breakout configurations using LC interfaces. Compatible with Panduit QuickNet™ trunk and cassette systems (MTP/MPO backbone to LC breakout) in structured cabling deployments. Meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B, so it integrates into any standards-compliant structured cabling plant without compliance gaps. The OM5 lime-green jacket is color-coded per TIA-598 for easy identification in high-density patch environments where OM3 (aqua) and OM4 (aqua/violet) cables are also present. Not compatible with single-mode transceivers — OM5 is multimode only (850nm/953nm SWDM windows).
