Description

Panduit FW2RPU1U1ONM020 Fiber Optic Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit FW2RPU1U1ONM020 is a 20-meter (65.6 ft) Opti-Core® OM5 duplex fiber optic patch cord. It features lime green, plenum-rated (OFNP) cable construction and is designed for high-speed data transmission in enterprise and data center environments. The Uniboot design simplifies cable management by consolidating two fibers into a single cable jacket with a push-pull tab for easy connection and disconnection, reducing bulk and installation time. This cord is suitable for deployments requiring reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity between network devices.

Compatibility

This patch cord is designed to connect network equipment with compatible LC duplex ports. It is suitable for use with OM5 fiber infrastructure, supporting applications requiring high bandwidth such as 40GbE and 100GbE connections over short to medium distances. The LC Uniboot connectors are compatible with standard LC ports found on switches, servers, and patch panels. The OM5 fiber type supports applications requiring wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and offers backward compatibility with OM3 and OM4 systems.

Installation Notes

The Uniboot design allows for easy polarity switching (A-to-A or A-to-B) without needing to re-terminate connectors, simplifying installation in dense environments. The 2mm cable diameter and integrated push-pull tab facilitate clean routing and connection in tight spaces. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to maintain optimal signal integrity. The OFNP rating indicates suitability for use in air-handling spaces, meeting stringent fire safety codes.
