Description

Panduit FS2RPU1U1NNM016 Fiber Optic Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit FS2RPU1U1NNM016 is a 16-meter (52.49 ft) OM4+ duplex fiber optic patch cord featuring Uniboot LC connectors on both ends. Its Plenum (OFNP) rating makes it suitable for installation in air handling spaces within data centers and telecommunications rooms. This cable provides the necessary interconnectivity for applications requiring high-bandwidth data transmission, such as linking pre-terminated cassettes in main, horizontal, or equipment distribution areas.

Compatibility

This patch cord is designed for use with standard LC duplex interfaces across various networking equipment. Its OM4+ fiber type supports high-speed data rates up to 100 Gbps over short distances, making it compatible with modern data center switches, servers, and storage devices that utilize this fiber specification. The Uniboot design allows for polarity switching (A-to-B or A-to-A) without re-terminating the connector, simplifying cable management in dense environments.

Installation Notes

The Uniboot connector features a pull-boot mechanism that enables easy insertion and removal. Polarity can be reversed by simply rotating the connector before insertion. The Plenum (OFNP) rating indicates it meets stringent fire safety codes for installation in plenums, crucial for compliance in many enterprise and data center facilities. The 50-micron core diameter is standard for OM4+ multimode fiber.
