OM5 50/125µm fiber supports both traditional single-wavelength applications and emerging SWDM (shortwave wavelength-division multiplexing) architectures — giving you headroom for 40G/100G+ parallel-optic migration without re-pulling cable. The uniboot form factor carries both fibers in a single 3.0mm jacket rather than two separate 1.6mm legs, reducing bundle diameter in high-density trays and making polarity management through physical flipping practical without additional adapters.
