The Panduit FW2RLU1U1ONM049 is a 49-meter (160.8 ft) OM5 wideband multimode fiber optic patch cable. It features LC duplex connectors on both ends with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket, making it suitable for environments where fire safety and reduced smoke emission are critical. This pre-terminated cable simplifies deployment in data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas, reducing installation time and the risk of termination errors.
This cable is designed for use with LC duplex ports and OM5 wideband multimode fiber infrastructure. It meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring compatibility with compliant network equipment and patch panels. The OM5 fiber type supports higher bandwidth applications, including 40GbE and 100GbE, over shorter distances compared to OM3/OM4.
The uniboot design allows for easier cable management by consolidating two fibers into a single jacket, reducing bundle size and simplifying polarity management. The LSZH jacket is suitable for plenum spaces where applicable, but always verify local building codes and fire ratings. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to prevent signal degradation.
