Description

Panduit FW2RLU1U1ONM014 OM5 LC Duplex Fiber Patch Cable

Overview

The Panduit FW2RLU1U1ONM014 is a factory-terminated, 2-fiber OM5 wideband multimode patch cable from the QuickNet™ pre-terminated fiber infrastructure line, measuring 14 meters (45.9 ft). Designed for fiber optic cabling deployments where field termination introduces risk and schedule pressure, this cable arrives ready to install — no polishing, no epoxy, no termination error. OM5 wideband multimode (50/125µm) supports short-wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM), making it the forward-compatible choice when upgrading backbone runs in data center structured cabling environments that may later migrate to 40G or 100G SWDM transceivers. The LSZH jacket limits toxic gas emission in enclosed spaces — required by code in many data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas. LC duplex connectors on both ends are the dominant interface for SFP and SFP+ transceivers, fitting virtually every current-generation switch and transceiver port. Meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B, so it satisfies structured cabling compliance requirements without additional field certification testing.

Compatibility

Connects any two LC duplex ports — SFP, SFP+, SFP28, or SFP-DD transceivers on switches, patch panels, media converters, or active equipment. Directly compatible with Panduit QuickNet™ cassette-based fiber distribution systems, including QuickNet MPO trunk assemblies feeding 2-fiber breakout configurations. Also integrates with third-party LC-based patch panels and enclosures from Corning, CommScope, Legrand, and Leviton wherever the port count and polarity scheme (duplex Type A/B) match. The OM5 fiber type is backward-compatible with OM4 and OM3 transceivers at their rated distances — you are not locked into SWDM hardware to use this cable today. At 14m, this length suits cross-connect runs within a single row of cabinets or short inter-rack links; for longer horizontal runs or MDA-to-EDA spans, a longer assembly in the same QuickNet family is the correct choice. Pair with fiber patch panels and LC adapters rated OM5 (aqua or lime-green housing per TIA-568.3-D color coding) to maintain end-to-end compliance documentation.
