Description

Panduit FW2RLU1U1NNM039 QuickNet OM5 LC Duplex Pre-Terminated Fiber Cable

Overview

The Panduit FW2RLU1U1NNM039 is a 39-meter (128 ft) pre-terminated OM5 wideband multimode fiber assembly from the Panduit QuickNet platform — built for structured cabling environments where installation speed and reliability matter more than field-terminated DIY work. OM5 (50/125µm) supports wavelengths from 850nm to 953nm, making it the only multimode grade qualified for shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM). That means a single pair of fibers can carry 100G and beyond over link distances where OM3 or OM4 would require parallel fiber counts — a real advantage in high-density fiber optic cable deployments inside data centers and telecom rooms. LC duplex connectors on both ends keep port density high in patch panels and active equipment. The LSZH jacket eliminates toxic halogen gas emission under fire conditions — required in plenum-like or enclosed facilities where occupant safety codes mandate low-smoke materials. This assembly meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B, covering the major North American and international structured cabling standards that AHJs and facility managers typically require for documentation.

Compatibility

The LC duplex form factor is universally compatible with SFP+ and SFP28 transceivers across enterprise switching platforms including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus series, Aruba/HPE switching, Juniper EX and QFX series, and network switches from Brocade, Dell, and Extreme. Patch panel compatibility includes Panduit QuickNet fiber panels and any standard LC-duplex loaded panel from Legrand, Leviton, or Commscope. On the active side, OM5 is backward-compatible with OM4 and OM3 transceivers operating at 850nm — so existing SR optics work without replacement. For SWDM4 100G operation, pair with SWDM4 SFP28 transceivers rated for OM5. This cable assembly is well-suited to structured cabling in data center horizontal distribution, equipment distribution areas (EDAs), and telecommunications rooms as defined under ANSI/TIA-942-B.

Installation Notes

Factory-terminated and 100% tested — no field polishing or cleaving required, which eliminates the insertion-loss variability common to field terminations. Verify pull tension and minimum bend radius per Panduit QuickNet published guidelines before routing through conduit or cable trays. The LSZH jacket is not rated for outdoor or direct-burial use; confine to indoor structured cabling pathways. LC uniboot connector design on one end reduces slack management complexity in high-density patch fields by combining both fibers into a single boot profile.
