Overview

The Panduit FW2ERLNSNSNM0.5 is a 2-fiber OM5 wideband multimode fiber optic cable designed for high-bandwidth applications in data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas. Its pre-terminated nature and OFNR riser rating facilitate rapid deployment of fiber infrastructure, reducing installation time and complexity. This cable utilizes 50/125µm OM5 fiber, offering enhanced performance for 40GbE and 100GbE applications compared to older multimode types.

Compatibility

This cable is designed for use within Panduit's QuickNet™ fiber infrastructure solutions. It terminates in LC Duplex connectors, ensuring compatibility with standard LC ports found on network switches, servers, and transceivers. The OM5 fiber type is backward compatible with OM3 and OM4 systems but is optimized for wavelengths between 850nm and 953nm, enabling higher bandwidth over longer distances with specific transceivers.

Installation Notes

The cable features a 1.6mm jacket diameter and an OFNR (Riser) flammability rating, suitable for vertical pathway installations within buildings. Adherence to TIA-568.3-D and ISO/IEC 11801 standards ensures consistent performance and interoperability.
