Description

Panduit FW2ERLNSNSNM023 OM5 Fiber Optic Cable

Overview

The Panduit FW2ERLNSNSNM023 is a 75.5-foot (23m) OM5 Wideband Multimode fiber optic patch cable. It features LC Duplex connectors on one end and SC Duplex connectors on the other, terminated with 1.6mm jacketed fibers. This cable is specifically designed for rapid deployment in high-bandwidth environments like data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas, supporting efficient infrastructure build-outs where pre-terminated solutions are required. The Riser (OFNR) flammability rating makes it suitable for in-wall or riser applications within commercial buildings.

Compatibility

This Panduit QuickNet™ cable is designed for use in TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B compliant infrastructure. It is intended for use with equipment and patch panels supporting LC Duplex and SC Duplex fiber optic connectors, typically found in network switches, servers, and fiber optic distribution frames within enterprise and data center environments. The OM5 fiber type supports short-wave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) and is backward compatible with OM3 and OM4, providing flexibility for future upgrades.

Installation Notes

The cable jacket is rated OFNR (Riser), meaning it is suitable for vertical runs between floors but not for use in plenums or air-handling spaces without additional protection. The 1.6mm jacket diameter offers a balance between flexibility and durability for structured cabling deployments. Ensure proper connector mating and avoid sharp bends exceeding the minimum bend radius to maintain signal integrity and prevent fiber damage.
