Description

Panduit FW2ERLNLNSNM037 OM5 Fiber Optic Cable

Overview

The Panduit FW2ERLNLNSNM037 is a 37-meter (121.4 ft) OM5 wideband multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for rapid deployment in high-density data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas. It utilizes LC Duplex connectors on both ends, providing a pre-terminated solution that simplifies installation and ensures consistent performance for network backbone and interconnect applications. The OM5 fiber type supports higher bandwidth and future-proofing for applications like 40GbE and 100GbE, while the Riser (OFNR) rating suits in-building horizontal cable runs.

Compatibility

This cable is engineered to meet TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring broad compatibility with network equipment utilizing LC Duplex connectors. It is suitable for use in environments where high-speed data transmission is critical, including SANs, server interconnects, and high-performance computing clusters. The OM5 fiber is backward compatible with OM3 and OM4 infrastructure.

Installation Notes

The cable features a 1.6mm jacket diameter, making it manageable for routing within cable management systems. Its pre-terminated nature eliminates the need for on-site splicing or termination, significantly reducing installation time and the risk of errors. Ensure proper bend radius management (minimum 10x cable diameter for 1.6mm jacket) to maintain signal integrity and prevent performance degradation, especially in tight-fitting racks and cabinets.
