Description

Panduit FZ8RL8NQSVNM004 OM4 8F 4:1 CONV LSZH MPO-M TO L Concise Descriptor

Overview

The Panduit FZ8RL8NQSVNM004 is an OM4 8-fiber, 4:1 conversion cable designed for high-density fiber optic infrastructure. It terminates in an MPO-Male connector on one end and four duplex LC connectors on the other, facilitating a transition from a multi-fiber trunk to individual LC connections. This cable is specified for use in environments where low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacketing is required, such as data centers and enterprise backbone applications, ensuring safety compliance and reliable data transmission for surveillance systems and other critical networks.

Compatibility

This conversion cable is designed to interface with standard MPO (MPO-12) connectors and LC connectors. It is compatible with OM4 fiber infrastructure, supporting 40GbE and 100GbE applications. Specifically, it enables connections to devices and patch panels utilizing MPO trunks that need to break out into individual LC ports for servers, switches, or surveillance equipment. It is suitable for use with Panduit's own fiber optic enclosures and trunk assemblies, as well as other manufacturers' compliant components.

Installation Notes

The cable jacket is LSZH rated, meaning it produces limited smoke and no toxic halogenated gases when exposed to fire. This is critical for plenum spaces and areas with strict fire safety regulations. The MPO connector is keyed and requires careful alignment to ensure proper polarity and connection. The LC connectors are standard push-pull type, requiring minimal force to engage and disengage. Ensure the bend radius is not violated during installation to maintain signal integrity.
