Description

Panduit FRZ8uit FRZ8PYYL011M014 OM4 8-Fiber Interconnect Plenum Cable

Overview

The Panduit FRZ8PYYL011M014 is a 14-meter (45.9 ft) OM4 8-fiber interconnect cable designed for high-density data center and telecommunications room deployments. It features MPO-8 Male APC connectors on both ends and utilizes Polarity Method B, ensuring correct signal transmission in structured cabling systems. Its plenum-rated jacket (OFNP) makes it suitable for installation in air-handling spaces, meeting stringent fire safety codes for enterprise environments.

Compatibility

This cable is engineered for use with Panduit's Opti-Core® fiber optic infrastructure and is compliant with TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards. It is intended for interconnect applications within data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas where rapid pre-terminated fiber deployment is critical. It is designed to connect active equipment to passive fiber distribution panels.

Installation Notes

The MPO connectors utilize an APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish, requiring careful handling to avoid scratching the fiber end-face. Polarity Method B is specified, which is crucial for maintaining proper transmit/receive connections in duplex applications. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends that exceed the minimum bend radius, as this can degrade signal performance. The plenum rating dictates its use in air-handling plenums.
