Description

Panduit FRZ8PYYL011M009 OM4 MPO-8 Pre-Terminated Fiber Trunk Cable, 9M

Overview

The Panduit FRZ8PYYL011M009 is a factory-terminated OM4 multimode fiber trunk assembly from the Opti-Core® line, built for rapid deployment in structured cabling infrastructure. At 9.0 meters (29.5 ft), it ships ready to plug — no field termination, no polishing, no splice trays. The MPO-8 Male APC connector on an 8-fiber OM4 50/125µm backbone is sized for high-density horizontal or inter-rack runs in environments where installation speed and link reliability matter. Polarity B (POLB) is factory-set, so you know the fiber mapping before you pull the cable. UL listed.

Compatibility

Designed for Panduit fiber optic patch panels, high-density cassettes, and MPO-8 adapter modules that accept APC-polish MPO connectors. Fits Panduit HD Flex™ and Opti-Core® cassette-based systems using 8-fiber MPO infrastructure. The OM4 50/125µm fiber supports 40GBASE-SR4 and 100GBASE-SR4 (with breakout) over short data center spans — at 9M you are well within the 100m OM4 reach limit for 40G and 150m for 10G, so full link budget is available. Verify your cassette or adapter module is keyed for APC polish (angled) and accepts POLB pinning before ordering; UPC-polish and POLB/POLA mismatches are the most common install errors on MPO trunks. Meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B — compatible with data center infrastructure audits against any of those standards.

Installation Notes

MPO connectors are keyed — confirm adapter module accepts male APC MPO before installation. Polarity B means the fiber at position 1 on the plug end maps to position 12 on the receptacle end; document polarity at both termination points. Minimum bend radius applies to factory-terminated MPO assemblies — do not exceed it during cable management or the APC angle geometry degrades return loss. Route through appropriate bend-radius-compliant managers in the rack. No field termination required; the assembly is factory-tested and ships ready to install.
