The Panduit FRZ8PGGY011M003 is a 3-meter (9.8 ft) OM4 multimode fiber optic patch cable featuring an 8-fiber MPO female connector on one end. This cable is engineered for high-density data center and telecommunications room environments where rapid, pre-terminated fiber infrastructure is critical for deployment efficiency. It supports high-bandwidth applications by providing a reliable connection point for transceivers and patch panels.
This cable is designed for use with standard OM4 multimode fiber infrastructure. It is compatible with MPO female ports found on transceivers (e.g., QSFP+, QSFP28) and within patch panels and equipment that utilize an 8-fiber MPO interface. It meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring interoperability with compliant networking equipment.
The MPO connector requires careful handling to avoid contamination and damage to the fiber end-face. Polarity B (cross-over) ensures proper signal path for standard transceiver configurations. Ensure the connector is fully seated but do not force it. The 50/125µm core and cladding diameter of OM4 fiber supports higher bandwidth and longer reach compared to OM3 or OM1/OM2.
