The Panduit FZ2RPU1U1ONM040 is a 40-meter (131.2 ft) OM4 duplex fiber optic patch cable designed for high-bandwidth applications in data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas. Its plenum (OFNP) rating ensures compliance with fire safety codes for in-wall or ceiling installations, enabling rapid deployment of pre-terminated fiber infrastructure for critical network links.
This cable features LC Duplex connectors, compatible with standard LC ports found on network switches, servers, transceivers (SFP, SFP+, QSFP+), and patch panels. The OM4 fiber type supports 10/40/100 GbE speeds over shorter distances compared to OM3, making it suitable for backbone and high-density interconnects within a rack or between adjacent racks. It meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards.
The uniboot design can simplify cable management by allowing two fibers to share a single cable jacket, reducing bundle size and improving airflow. Ensure proper connector mating to avoid signal degradation. The plenum rating is essential for installations where the cable will pass through air-handling spaces.
