Description

Panduit FZ2RPU1U1ONM016 Fiber Optic Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit FZ2RPU1U1ONM016 is a 16-meter (52.49 ft) OM4 duplex fiber optic patch cord designed for high-speed data center interconnects and telecommunications room applications. Its uniboot design simplifies cable management by consolidating two fibers into a single jacket with a pull-boot connector, reducing bundle size and improving airflow. The plenum (OFNP) rating ensures compliance for use in air-handling spaces.

Compatibility

This patch cord is designed for use within Panduit fiber optic systems, specifically for interconnecting pre-terminated cassettes in main distribution, horizontal distribution, and equipment distribution areas. It utilizes standard LC duplex connectors, compatible with most network equipment and patch panels employing this interface. The OM4 fiber type supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 meters and 40/100 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters, making it suitable for demanding data center backbone and storage area network links.

Installation Notes

The uniboot design features a reversible pull-boot connector that allows for polarity switching (A-to-A or A-to-B) without re-termination, simplifying field installation and reducing potential errors. The Aqua color indicates OM4 fiber, aiding in identification. Ensure connectors are kept clean to maintain optimal signal integrity and prevent performance degradation.
