Description

Panduit FZ2RPU1ZNNNM3.5 OM4 2F 2MM PC Ofnp LC Uniboot/cs Connea

Overview

The Panduit FZ2RPU1ZNNNM3.5 is a pre-terminated, 2-fiber OM4 multimode uniboot fiber optic cable assembly. It terminates in LC duplex connectors on both ends, featuring PC (Physical Contact) polish for optimal signal integrity. Designed for high-density environments like data centers and telecommunications rooms, this cable simplifies deployment by eliminating field termination, reducing installation time and potential errors. The uniboot design consolidates two fibers into a single jacket, streamlining cable management and reducing the number of cables needed. Its OFNP plenum rating ensures compliance for installation in air-handling spaces.

Compatibility

This Panduit QuickNet™ cable is engineered for use in data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas. It is compatible with standard LC duplex fiber optic transceivers and patch panels. The OM4 fiber type supports higher bandwidth and longer reach for 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE applications compared to OM3, making it suitable for demanding network backbones and storage area networks. It meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring interoperability with compliant network equipment.

Installation Notes

The uniboot design allows for easy polarity switching (A-to-B or A-to-A) by simply rotating the connector, simplifying configuration without needing to re-terminate. The 2mm jacket diameter and compact connector form factor are ideal for high-density patching. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to prevent signal degradation. The OFNP rating makes it suitable for plenum spaces, but always verify local building codes and installation requirements.
