Description

Panduit FYZTPLLS005F024 OM4 LC Duplex Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cable

Overview

The Panduit FYZTPLLS005F024 is a 1-meter (3.3 ft) OM4 multimode pre-terminated fiber optic cable from the QuickNet™ HD Flex platform, terminated on both ends with LC Duplex connectors. At 1 meter, this is a patch or intra-rack jumper — built for short, high-density runs inside a data center cabinet or between adjacent racks where every centimeter of slack matters. OM4 50/125µm glass supports 40GbE and 100GbE over short distances, making it the right choice for high-speed switch-to-server or switch-to-storage interconnects where OM3 bandwidth ceiling is a constraint. Pre-terminated from the factory means no field polishing, no on-site termination labor, and no connectorization variance that introduces insertion loss — you pull the cable, seat the connectors, and move on.

Compatibility

Designed for fiber optic patch panels, high-density cassette systems, and LC Duplex ports across standard structured cabling infrastructure. Compatible with Panduit's QuickNet™ HD Flex cassette modules and patch panels that accept LC Duplex interfaces. Broader compatibility extends to any equipment with standard LC Duplex receptacles — including data center switches, transceivers, and fiber distribution units from major networking vendors. Meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B, so it integrates cleanly into structured cabling environments designed to those standards. OM4 is backward compatible with OM3 equipment, though you will be limited to OM3 distance and bandwidth specs in a mixed installation.

Installation Notes

At 1 meter, cable management inside the rack is tight — verify your panel-to-switch spacing before ordering; this length is unforgiving if your layout has more than a few inches of unplanned slack. LC Duplex connectors are keyed and polarized; confirm polarity scheme (A-to-B or A-to-A) matches your cassette and transceiver configuration before deploying at scale. OM4 requires laser-optimized (850nm VCSEL) transceivers to realize the full bandwidth advantage — standard LED-based equipment will not see the benefit over OM3.
