Description

Panduit FXTRP8NUHSNF059 Concise Descriptor

Overview

The Panduit FXTRP8NUHSNF059 is a 5-meter, OM3 12-fiber optic cable assembly designed for high-density interconnects within data centers and enterprise network backbones. It features a Plenum-rated jacket for plenum spaces and terminates in a 12-fiber MPO (Male) connector on one end and 6x LC duplex connectors on the other, facilitating efficient transitions between MPO trunk infrastructure and standard LC-based equipment ports. This cable is critical for supporting 40GbE and 100GbE applications where density and performance are paramount.

Compatibility

This cable is designed for use with network equipment and fiber optic transceivers that support MPO (12-fiber, Type B mating) and LC duplex connections. It is compatible with standard OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber infrastructure, commonly found in enterprise data centers and high-performance computing environments. It is suitable for use with Panduit's MPO trunk systems and various vendor transceivers requiring OM3 performance.

Installation Notes

The Plenum-rated jacket (CMP) is required for installation in air-handling spaces (plenums) above suspended ceilings or under raised floors, meeting stringent fire safety codes. Maintain a minimum bend radius of 1 inch (25mm) during installation and operation to prevent signal degradation. Ensure MPO connectors are clean before mating to prevent performance issues. The MPO connector is male (pinned), requiring a female (receptacle) MPO connector on the mating equipment or trunk cable.
