Overview

The Panduit FCF39N-16-10U2 is a QuickNet™ fiber cassette designed for high-density fiber management. It terminates 16 OS2 fibers, providing a bridge between LC Duplex connections and a 12-fiber MPO Male connector. This unit is ideal for structured cabling deployments within data centers or enterprise networks where efficient fiber consolidation and transition are critical. The MPO connector supports up to 12 fibers, allowing for a 4-to-1 fiber consolidation ratio (16 fibers down to a single MPO interface, effectively using 12 of the 16 fibers for the MPO link, with the remaining 4 fibers unused in this specific configuration). Its front-access design simplifies integration into Panduit Opticom™ panels.

Compatibility

This cassette is engineered for use with Panduit Opticom™ fiber optic panels and enclosures. It is specifically designed for OS2 single-mode fiber and requires a compatible MPO trunk cable or breakout cable to connect to network equipment or other fiber distribution points. The LC Duplex connectors are standard for many active network devices and patch panels.

Installation Notes

The cassette features a front-access design, allowing for easy insertion and removal from compatible Panduit fiber optic panels without disrupting other connections. The MPO connector requires careful handling to avoid contamination or damage to the fiber array. Ensure the MPO connector is clean before mating.
