Description

Middle Atlantic 5418FO Non-Metallic External Elbow Fitting

Overview

The Middle Atlantic 5418FO is an ivory external elbow fitting designed for the 5400-series non-metallic raceway system. It handles direction changes at outside corners — the kind of transition you hit when routing structured cabling around a wall corner in a commercial office, retail space, or government facility. At 5.5 in. wide and 6.9 in. tall, this fitting maintains the full-capacity profile of the 5400 raceway so cable fill isn't compromised at the bend. TAA-compliant construction makes the 5418FO a clean fit for federal or government-contract installations where the Trade Agreements Act applies.

Compatibility

The 5418FO is designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic 5400-series radiused full-capacity raceway and cord cover system. It pairs with the non-metallic (NM) channel body and matching fittings within that family — including straight couplers, inside elbows, and flat elbows — to build continuous, fully enclosed cable runs. Do not mix with the 5400 metallic variant or other raceway series, as fitting profiles and channel widths differ and will produce misaligned joints. If your run requires an inside-corner transition instead, select the corresponding internal elbow fitting in the 5400 NM line.

Installation Notes

Ivory finish matches the standard 5400 NM channel color for a flush, continuous appearance on painted drywall or drop-ceiling environments. Fitting snaps or fastens to the raceway body at the corner junction — no tools required beyond standard installation hardware used for the base channel. Confirm wall corner geometry before ordering: this is an external elbow for outside corners; internal corners require the inside-elbow variant. Shipping dimensions are 8 in. x 8.25 in. x 7.75 in., so standard parcel handling applies.
