Description

Middle Atlantic 2317DFO NM Fiberready Divided Internal Elbow Fitting

Overview

The Middle Atlantic 2317DFO is a non-metallic, fiber-ready divided internal elbow fitting designed for the 2300 Series radiused raceway system. It solves the corner-transition problem in structured cabling runs where fiber and copper must share a pathway without exceeding fiber's minimum bend radius — a real concern in any installation where standard elbow fittings would kink delicate fiber strands. The 2317DFO's internal elbow geometry handles the direction change while the divided interior keeps fiber separated from copper, reducing signal degradation risk in mixed-media runs. The ivory finish blends with standard commercial ceiling and wall finishes.

TAA compliance makes the 2317DFO a straightforward fit for federal, state, and local government projects subject to Trade Agreements Act procurement requirements.

Compatibility

The 2317DFO is designed specifically for Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic 2300 Series non-metallic radiused raceway system. It pairs with other 2300 Series fittings — straight sections, couplers, outside elbows, and cover accessories — to build complete fiber-safe surface raceway runs. Specify this fitting when your 2300 Series run requires an internal (inside-corner) direction change. Confirm raceway width compatibility with your specific 2300 Series channel before ordering, as the 2300 family spans multiple widths. Suitable for deployment alongside IP cameras, access control wiring, and structured cabling in commercial and government facilities.

Installation Notes

As a non-metallic fitting, the 2317DFO does not require grounding continuity between sections — simplifying installation versus metallic raceway. The divided interior channel must be maintained through the elbow transition; do not force oversized cable bundles that would compress the divider or exceed the raceway's stated fill capacity. Route fiber on the inner radius where bend geometry is most favorable. Ivory color is factory finish — field painting is possible but voids any surface warranty consideration.
