The ACC763-10000S is a 3-meter passive direct-attach copper (DAC) cable connecting 100G QSFP28 ports back-to-back. This cable eliminates the need for transceivers and optical modules on short runs — you plug QSFP28 to QSFP28 and get full 100 Gbps throughput with zero latency overhead. Ideal for hyperscale compute clusters, storage interconnects, and high-performance data center topologies where proximity and cost matter more than distance.
Works with any switch, NVR, server, or fabric interface carrying a 100G QSFP28 port. This includes NETGEAR switches in the M4300, M4500, and M7300 series, as well as third-party platforms (Juniper, Arista, Dell, Cisco) that support standard QSFP28 DAC pinouts. Confirm your target equipment supports passive DAC cables — some platforms require active or optical modules.
Passive DAC cables have a fixed 3-meter reach and do not support cable extension or retiming. If runs exceed 3 meters, switch to active DAC or optical fiber. Ensure QSFP28 connectors are clean and fully seated — dirt or partial insertion causes link loss. No special tools required; hand-tight insertion is sufficient.
