HID 1431LGGUNN MIFARE Prox Card (Non-Programmed MIFARE, Programmed Prox)
The HID 1431LGGUNN is a composite card with both HID Prox (125 kHz, programmed) and MIFARE (13.56 MHz, non-programmed) technology in a single ISO ID-1 form factor. Composite cards serve sites that are migrating from Prox to MIFARE — a single card works on both reader generations during the transition window.
Key Features
- Composite HID Prox + MIFARE contactless card
- HID Prox: 125 kHz, factory programmed with customer credential data
- MIFARE: 13.56 MHz, non-programmed (customer may program later)
- ISO ID-1 (credit-card) form factor
- Single credential bridges legacy and modern reader infrastructure
- Direct-printable face for badge graphics
- Compatible with legacy HID Prox readers and 13.56 MHz MIFARE readers
Credential migrations rarely happen overnight. Even when a site has decided to move from 125 kHz Prox to 13.56 MHz MIFARE, the actual cutover takes months as readers are upgraded door-by-door. Composite cards let cardholders carry one credential that works on both the old and new readers throughout the transition period, eliminating the operational pain of double-carrying or coordinated cutover.
Plan the migration sequence — typically perimeter doors first, then high-security interior doors. Train issuance staff on the dual-technology card so they know which side is programmed during deployment. For MIFARE programming, decide whether to use HID's programming service or the customer's own MIFARE programming workflow. Document the credential strategy so future card orders maintain the same technology profile.
