Lifesafety Power FPO75/150-C8D8E2 Power Supply Enclosure
Overview
The FPO75/150-C8D8E2 is a dual-voltage power supply enclosure designed for access control systems, surveillance networks, and distributed lock / solenoid applications. It delivers either 75W at 12V or 150W at 24V — meaning you select the output voltage that matches your downstream devices, not the other way around. Eight fused auxiliary outputs (3A per channel) let you branch power to multiple door locks, mag locks, or control boards from a single enclosure. The E2 form factor is compact enough for wall or cabinet mounting in server rooms, electrical closets, or equipment racks.
Compatibility
This enclosure integrates with access control panels, standalone power supplies, and surveillance recorder UPS systems that require redundant or distributed 12V or 24V feeds. It is commonly paired with commercial-grade door controllers, electromagnetic locks, and solenoid-driven strike mechanisms. Verify that your lock voltage (12V or 24V DC) matches the selected output; mixing voltages across outputs is not supported. The fused outputs are suitable for any device drawing under 3A per branch — check your lock or solenoid datasheet for current draw before assigning more than one high-draw device per fused channel.
Installation Notes
Choose voltage at the time of configuration — the supply must be shut down to switch between 12V and 24V modes. Wire the main AC input (typically 16–24V AC from a transformer) to the primary terminals; each of the eight auxiliary outputs is independently fused at 3A to protect downstream circuits. Fuses are field-replaceable using standard 3A slow-blow cartridges. Mount the E2 enclosure vertically or horizontally in a climate-controlled space; avoid condensation, direct water spray, and temperature extremes. Use 14 AWG or larger wire for main power and 18 AWG for auxiliary branches to minimize voltage drop across long runs to remote locks.
