Lifesafety Power FPO150-B100C82D8E4M/T8-A 150W Dual-Output Access Control Power Supply
Overview
The FPO150-B100C82D8E4M/T8-A is a 150W primary power module designed for distributed access control and security infrastructure. It delivers 12A at 12V or 6A at 24V on the main output, with an independent adjustable secondary output (5–18V, 4A max) that isolates auxiliary circuits from primary power rails. This architecture is essential in multi-door access systems where controller power, lock circuits, and peripheral devices (request-to-exit sensors, badge readers, auxiliary relays) require independent fault isolation and voltage tuning. The E4 enclosure footprint (24H × 20W × 4.5D inches) fits standard 19-inch rack equipment bays and DIN-mount wall cabinets.
Outputs and Control Circuits
Eight relay lock control outputs are each fused at 3A and individually selectable for FAI (fail-as-is), failsafe, or failsecure operation — this flexibility allows a single power module to support doors with conflicting fail-state requirements in the same facility. Sixteen additional DC auxiliary outputs, also fused at 3A per channel and assignable to Bus1 or Bus2, provide supervised power distribution for request-to-exit devices, magnetic locks, electric strikes, and status lights. Each output can be independently wired to different control buses, reducing cross-talk and enabling modular system expansion. The Mercury MR52 / EP1502 control board(s) handle relay sequencing and bus arbitration.
Installation Context
This module integrates into larger power supply architectures where multiple access points require centralized fused distribution. It is commonly deployed in warehouse automation facilities, data center entry control, and multi-tenant office buildings where door-by-door power redundancy and voltage isolation prevent cascading faults. The included Mercury back plate, tie-wraps, and eight door covers simplify DIN-rail or enclosure mounting. Verify DC load budgets before commissioning — each relay and auxiliary output handles up to 3A continuous; exceeding this rating will trip the fuse and interrupt access to that circuit.
