Description

Lifesafety Power FPO150/250-2C83D8PE8M1/P16-A Dual-Output Access Control Power Supply

Overview

The FPO150/250-2C83D8PE8M1/P16-A is a selectable dual-output power supply designed for distributed access control deployments. Choose between 150W output (12A at 12VDC or 6A at 24VDC) or 250W output (20A at 12VDC or 10A at 24VDC) to match your load profile. The 16 relay lock control outputs—each fused independently at 3A—allow per-output configuration of failsafe or failsecure logic, critical for mixed-credential or multi-door zones where lock behavior must be individually tuned. The additional 24VDC auxiliary outputs support Bus1/Bus2 signaling at 2.5A per channel, enabling supervision and status feedback in larger networked systems.

Compatibility

This supply integrates into Lifesafety Power access control ecosystems and works alongside Mercury MR52 and EP1502 control boards within the E8 enclosure form factor. The E8 cabinet (36H × 30W × 4.5D inches) with Panduit rail mounting and Mercury backplate suits standard access control racks and wall-mount installations common to building entry, warehouse automation, and secure facility deployments.

Installation Notes

Verify load distribution: each of the 16 relay outputs is independently fused at 3A, preventing a single lock or solenoid failure from affecting adjacent circuits. Auxiliary outputs are class 2 power-limited, reducing wiring burden and fire hazard in plenum-rated runs. Configure failsafe vs. failsecure per output during commissioning—no hardware changes required. Plan for inrush current on lock solenoids at 24VDC; the 10A @ 24V option reduces peak voltage drop on extended wire runs compared to 12V.
