Overview

The Vertiv 2POSTRMKIT is a rackmount kit designed to securely install select Vertiv Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units into standard 2-post relay racks. This kit is essential for environments where traditional 4-post server racks are not present or suitable, such as telecommunications closets or network distribution frames. Proper mounting prevents accidental tipping and ensures the UPS operates stably, safeguarding critical IT and network equipment from power disturbances.

Compatibility

This rackmount kit is specifically designed for Vertiv UPS units with a capacity of up to 3kVA. It directly supports the following Vertiv UPS models and series: 2POSTRMKIT (itself, indicating compatibility with specific chassis), 2UTELECOMRKIT, WMBKT2U, and WMBKT2USS. It is not compatible with higher kVA units like the 4UTELECOMRKIT (5kVA-10kVA) or certain other Vertiv series such as RS500, RS600, RS700, RS800, or RMKIT18-32, which may require different mounting solutions.

Installation Notes

Installation requires a standard 2-post relay rack with appropriate vertical spacing to accommodate the UPS and the mounting kit. Ensure the rack is rated to support the weight of the UPS unit.
