Overview

The Lenovo 4X97A59816 is a factory-new NVMe cable kit engineered specifically for the ThinkSystem SR650 V2 server's 2.5" middle backplane configuration. When expanding or servicing NVMe drive capacity in an SR650 V2, the signal path between the backplane and the system board must match the server's exact cable routing — this kit supplies the correct NVMe interface cabling to restore or complete that connection. Without the proper OEM cable set, NVMe backplanes in the middle bay position cannot communicate with the host controller, leaving installed drives invisible to the system regardless of drive health.

Compatibility

Designed for the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 V2 1U/2U rack server platform in 2.5" drive configurations using a middle backplane assembly. Verify your SR650 V2's specific backplane topology (front, middle, rear) before ordering — this kit is scoped to the middle backplane position only.
