Description

Panduit FS2EPKCLCNCM020 Opti-Core™ OM4+ Fiber Patch Cord

The Panduit FS2EPKCLCNCM020 is a 20-meter OM4+ duplex fiber patch cord engineered for 40G/100G data center backbones, high-bandwidth security NVR interconnects, and long-reach switch-to-switch links. Built on Panduit's Signature Core™ platform, it delivers ultra-low insertion loss for extended reach and margin headroom. One LC connector end carries Panduit's coded C keying (green), the other is non-coded C (green) — enabling physical-layer security in environments where accidental cross-connections or tampering are risks. Plenum-rated OFNP jacket qualifies the cord for in-ceiling and air-handling space installation without conduit in most US jurisdictions.

Key Features

  • OM4+ Signature Core™ fiber: 50/125 µm laser-optimized multimode supports 100GBASE-SR4 to 150m, 40GBASE-SR4 to 150m, and 10GBASE-SR to 550m — future-proof bandwidth for IP video storage networks and converged infrastructure.
  • Coded/non-coded C pairing: Green coded-C LC on one end, green non-coded LC on the other. Pairs only with matching Panduit components; prevents unauthorized patch changes in secure server rooms or camera head-end racks.
  • Ultra-low insertion loss: Factory-terminated and tested to <0.25 dB typical. Preserves optical budget on longer runs and daisy-chained links between NVRs, core switches, and fiber aggregation shelves.
  • 20-meter length: Spans cross-rack, end-of-row, or single-floor vertical rise installations without mid-span splices. Adequate for most equipment-room topologies and eliminates the cost and loss penalty of field terminations.
  • Plenum-rated (OFNP): UL 910 flame test compliant; appropriate for above-ceiling or raised-floor air-return paths. Meets IBC and NEC Article 770 requirements for cable types in plenums without metal raceway.
  • 1.6 mm zipcord jacket: Flexible and low-profile; routes easily in high-density patch panels and cable managers without kinking. Green outer jacket aids visual circuit tracing in mixed-protocol installations.

OM4+ multimode is the workhorse fiber type for modern IP surveillance and IT infrastructure. It balances cost, performance, and reach — delivering 10 Gb/s per lane out to 550 meters and supporting parallel 40G/100G optics at distances that cover most building floors. The Signature Core™ construction uses tighter manufacturing tolerances on core geometry and modal bandwidth, yielding lower attenuation and higher effective modal bandwidth (>4700 MHz·km at 850 nm) than legacy OM4. In practice, this means you can push link budgets further, tolerate more connector pairs in a channel, or run at spec with older transceiver generations without margin anxiety.

The coded-C keying system is Panduit's mechanical anti-tampering layer. Coded ferrules and adapters have a keyed shape that physically blocks insertion of non-matching connectors. In environments where fiber patch panels feed critical NVR uplinks, evidence storage, or building management networks, coded fiber prevents accidental (or malicious) re-patching by unauthorized personnel. The asymmetric coded/non-coded design on this cord is common in hierarchical architectures: coded end plugs into a secure distribution panel (with coded adapters), non-coded end plugs into a standard equipment port. You get the security benefit without requiring every device port to accept coded connectors.

This patch cord ships as part of Panduit's tested and warranted Opti-Core™ fiber system. When deployed with Panduit cassettes, panels, and trunk cables, the entire optical channel is covered under Panduit's application assurance and 20-year system warranty. RoHS compliant. Carton quantity: 10 cords.
