Overview
The VS-L6Q-SFT-CASE is a purpose-built transport and installation enclosure for the Pelco L6Q license plate recognition system. This accessory solves the deployment bottleneck when you need to position an LPR camera at a new site within minutes—the case provides both protection during transport and a mounting platform that integrates directly with pole and rack installations. The compact form factor (5.0 x 2.4 x 7.1 inches including the mounting ball) keeps the L6Q secure in the field while enabling rapid reconfiguration across multiple locations.
Compatibility
The VS-L6Q-SFT-CASE is designed exclusively for the Pelco L6Q license plate reader. The case accommodates the L6Q camera module, swappable 12Ah internal battery, and M12 connector wiring. Mount compatibility includes pole-mount and rack-mount configurations via the integrated mounting bracket; the included ball-joint allows quick angle adjustment without tools. The case's IP67 rating matches the L6Q's weather sealing, so rain, snow, and dust ingress are not a concern in field deployments.
Installation Notes
Deploy the case using the supplied mounting bracket and band straps to secure it to pole or rack surfaces. The paintable shroud allows the case to blend visually with existing infrastructure—remove the shroud panel and apply site-standard colors before final installation. The L6Q's Mobile Companion app (Android/iOS) completes configuration on-site, requiring only the case to be mounted and power connected (solar, AC/DC, or battery supplied separately). No specialized tools are required for initial positioning or battery swaps.
