Compatibility

As part of the Allied Telesis GS970M series, the AT-GS970M/28-10 integrates into Allied Telesis managed network environments and is compatible with standard 802.1Q VLAN, RSTP/MSTP spanning tree, and SNMP-based network management systems. The four SFP uplink slots accept standard SFP transceivers for single-mode or multimode fiber runs, making it compatible with Allied Telesis SFP modules as well as third-party MSA-compliant optics. It suits managed network switches and structured cabling environments where downstream ports connect to IP cameras, access control readers, VoIP endpoints, or workstations and uplinks connect to a distribution or core layer switch via fiber. For PoE-dependent devices such as IP cameras or wireless access points, pair this switch with a PoE-capable switch at the edge or use a PoE injector per port, as this model does not provide PoE output. Installation Notes
