This HID multi-technology wall-mount reader supports both 125 kHz Prox and 13.56 MHz iClass credentials in a single reader body. Multi-technology readers are essential during credential migrations and in environments with mixed credential populations — contractors with Prox, employees with iClass, executives with mobile — all read through one reader.

Multi-technology readers are the right answer when the site supports a mixed credential population. Rather than installing two readers per door (one for Prox, one for iClass), a single multi-technology reader reads both.
