The QK734A is a 5-meter LC-to-LC duplex multi-mode OM4 fiber patch cable from HPE's Premier Flex line. OM4 glass supports 10GbE at up to 400 meters and 40/100GbE at up to 150 meters — this 5m cut is sized for top-of-rack to adjacent switch or storage connections inside a single cabinet or between adjacent racks. The LC connector format is the standard for high-density SFP+ and QSFP breakout panels, so it drops into most modern HPE and non-HPE gear without adapters.
Designed to pair with HPE ProLiant servers, HPE FlexFabric and Aruba switch ports equipped with LC-based SFP+ or SFP28 transceivers, and HPE MSA and Nimble storage arrays with LC optical interfaces. Also compatible with any standards-compliant LC SFP+, SFP28, or 10G/25G transceiver module from other vendors — the OM4 fiber type and LC connector are industry-standard, so integration into mixed-vendor environments (Cisco Nexus, Juniper QFX, Arista) is straightforward. Verify that the transceiver at each end specifies multi-mode OM4 support; OM4 is backward compatible with OM3 transceivers at reduced distance ceilings.
