When your existing MSL library needs expanded or replaced drive capacity — without decommissioning the chassis — the Q6Q68A provides a direct-fit upgrade path that keeps your backup infrastructure on a current LTO generation. LTO-8 delivers native capacity of 12TB per cartridge (up to 30TB compressed), which translates directly to fewer cartridge swaps and smaller tape rotation pools in high-volume backup windows.

Compatibility

This kit is designed for HPE MSL tape libraries that support field-installable SAS drive modules.
