The HU4A4A5013Q is a high-density, 3-phase rack PDU designed to power HPE DL380 Gen12 storage server deployments configured for data protection (DP) workloads. With a total PDU output capacity of 14,720W across dual feed inputs, this unit addresses the power density demands of fully-loaded storage racks where a single-phase PDU would either oversubscribe the circuit or require multiple units to cover outlet count. Each feed input (labeled ~A and ~B) draws from a 200–240V, 32A, 3-wire circuit with a Category D breaker requirement — plan your panel capacity accordingly before rack deployment.
Designed for use with HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen12 servers configured in storage or data protection roles. The dual IEC309 3-pin, 32A input plugs require matching receptacles at the rack or floor PDU level — verify your raised-floor or overhead busway termination type before ordering. The outlet mix (72x C13 at 10A each, 6x C19 at 16A each) is matched to the DL380 G12 platform's power supply inlet standards; C13 outlets feed standard 10A PSUs while C19 handles higher-draw components. Load segments are balanced across three phases (L1, L2, L3) at 20A per segment per feed — a balanced 3-phase configuration reduces neutral current and simplifies power monitoring in managed rack environments.
Each of the two input feeds (~A and ~B) requires its own dedicated 200–240V, 3-wire, 32A circuit with a Category D breaker — Category D is mandatory for the inrush characteristics of this PDU; substituting a standard Type B or C breaker risks nuisance tripping under storage workload spin-up. Total load per feed is capped at 32A (7,360W); combined PDU capacity reaches 14,720W only when both feeds are active and balanced.
