Overview

The 872261-B21 is HPE's System Insight Display (SID) kit for the DL5x0 Gen10 server family. The SID provides front-panel health monitoring — surfacing component-level fault indicators directly on the chassis without requiring a management console login. In dense rack environments where pulling a server from the stack to diagnose a fault costs time, this front-panel display lets technicians triage power, thermal, and board-level alerts at a glance.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the HPE ProLiant DL5x0 Gen10 server series. Verify your exact chassis model against HPE's QuickSpecs before ordering — the SID connector and bezel cutout are generation- and sub-family-specific; a Gen9 or DL3x0/DL3x0 chassis will not accept this kit.

Installation Notes

Installation is a tool-assisted front-panel swap: the display module seats into the chassis bezel bay and connects via an internal ribbon or header connector. Power down the server and follow HPE's standard ESD precautions before handling. No additional cabling to the iLO board is required on supported Gen10 DL5x0 platforms — the SID draws its signal from the existing system board header.
