It addresses a common rack-density scenario: maximizing drive count in a 2U chassis without adding external storage or sacrificing a PCIe slot.

Compatibility

This kit is specifically engineered for the HPE ProLiant DL38X Gen10 Plus server platform. The 'DL38X' designation covers the DL380 Gen10 Plus and DL385 Gen10 Plus chassis variants. It is not compatible with Gen9 or earlier generations, nor with DL360 or other DL-series form factors. Verify your chassis bay configuration before ordering — DL38X Gen10+ systems may ship with different base drive configurations depending on the CTO build, and this kit assumes an available LFF bay slot.
