I'll be direct—this is a bracket kit for a handheld mobile computer, not network recording infrastructure, so it's outside my usual NVR and storage wheelhouse. That said, I've seen enough integrators spec these CT47 units for security operations (guard tour checkpoints, mobile incident reporting, asset tagging) that the mounting consideration is worth mentioning. If you're deploying CT47s in control rooms or vehicle-mounted applications alongside your video management workstations, verify the bracket's VESA compatibility and weight load against your existing monitor arms or desk mounts before ordering. The CT47 itself is lighter than most rugged tablets at about 11 ounces, but the bracket geometry matters when you're trying to co-locate it with existing AV gear.
For pure security applications, I'd typically recommend purpose-built access control readers or fixed workstations over handheld devices, but if your workflow genuinely requires mobile Android access to your VMS or credential management system, confirm the bracket allows cable routing for continuous charging—intermittent power in a 24/7 SOC creates operational gaps you don't want.
