Honeywell IS3035V PIR Motion Detector with Anti-Mask
Overview
The IS3035V is a wired passive infrared (PIR) motion detector built for indoor residential and commercial spaces where you need reliable human-presence detection without false triggers from small animals. This compact unit uses a custom Fresnel optical design to deliver uniform sensitivity across the detection pattern — meaning targets at the edge of coverage receive the same detection quality as those directly in front of the sensor. The sleek ABS plastic housing blends into standard installations and includes wall tamper and look-down coverage options, addressing two common installation constraints: false alarms from wall-mounted vents and the need for overhead detection near entry points.
Compatibility
The IS3035V integrates into wired security systems using standard alarm panel connections. It is part of the Resideo IS3000 and DT8000 series family, designed as a drop-in replacement or parallel detection layer in intrusion detection networks. Verify your panel supports 4–6 wire PIR terminals and check local wiring codes for installation requirements. The unit is wired only — no wireless or battery option.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range is 14°F to 131°F (−10°C to 55°C), so skip this detector if your mounting location experiences sustained freezing or heat beyond these limits. The unit ships with a convenient wiring channel and knockouts for conduit entry; mounting screws are located in the rear cover for ease of installation. Pet immunity is selectable via DIP switch — set it to ON if the protected space contains animals up to 100 lbs, OFF for maximum sensitivity. Look-down coverage is also switch-selectable, allowing you to tighten or expand the detection zone near the mounting surface. Sealed optics and electronics eliminate the need for periodic lens cleaning in typical indoor dust conditions.
