Honeywell SC105 Hardwired Seismic Detector Sensor
Overview
The SC105 is a hardwired seismic detector sensor built for wall-mount installation on safes, ATMs, vaults, and other enclosures where drilling, prying, or impact attempts need to trigger an alarm before a breach completes. It connects to a hardwired alarm input rather than a wireless panel zone, so it fits installs where you already have a supervised loop run to the protected asset and want a direct, tamper-resistant signal path instead of relying on RF. At .5 lbs. and finished in RAL7035 light gray, it mounts flush without drawing attention to the protected point.
Compatibility
The SC105 is the base seismic sensor in a bundle family that includes optional companion modules SC110, SC113, SC115, SC116, and SC117 — pair it with those parts when a deployment calls for expanded zone coverage or additional input/output handling on the same protected asset. Because the interface is a standard hardwired alarm input, it integrates with commercial security control panels supporting supervised hardwired zones rather than requiring a specific proprietary receiver.
Installation Notes
Rated IP43, the SC105 tolerates light dust and dripping water from an angle — fine for an indoor cash room or vault anteroom, but not a spec to rely on for direct outdoor exposure or washdown areas. The extended operating/storage range of -58°F to 158°F covers unconditioned storage rooms, vaults, and enclosures that see temperature swings most standard sensors aren't rated for, which matters if the install site isn't climate-controlled year-round. Confirm wiring polarity and zone supervision requirements against your panel's hardwired input specifications before terminating the run, since the SC105 itself carries no onboard power or battery backup — it depends entirely on the connected alarm input for power and monitoring.
