Overview
The HID 76843 is a pack of ten specialized gauze cleaning pads designed for maintaining HID access control readers and other sensitive electronic equipment. These pads are formulated to safely remove dirt, grime, and residue without damaging delicate surfaces, ensuring optimal reader performance and longevity. They are particularly useful in environments where readers are exposed to dust or frequent handling, such as industrial facilities or high-traffic commercial buildings. The 76843 is manufactured in the US and is RoHS compliant.
Compatibility
These cleaning pads are suitable for use with a wide range of HID access control readers, including those supporting Mifare and Mifare DESFire EV1 custom data models. They are also compatible with readers certified under SRRC (China), MIC (Korea), NCC (Taiwan), and iDA (Singapore), as well as FIPS-201 Transparent FASC-N Reader applications. Their general-purpose nature makes them effective for cleaning various electronic interfaces where standard cleaning methods may be too harsh.
Installation Notes
Each pad is designed for single use to prevent cross-contamination. Simply open a pad, use it to gently wipe the surface of the reader, and dispose of it afterward. The operating temperature range for these pads is -31º to 150º F (-35º to 65º C), with storage temperatures between -67º to 185º F (-55º to 85º C). The pads themselves are IP55 rated, offering protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets.
