Overview

The 20TKS-03-011E5A is a Signo 20 series contactless reader designed to integrate into access control systems requiring support for multiple credential technologies. This black and silver terminal-form reader handles DESFire, iCLASS, MIFARE, HID proprietary, SEOS, NFC, and 125kHz proximity credentials — solving the common deployment problem of credential proliferation across enterprise facilities. The reader supports Wiegand output and OSDP communication, making it compatible with both legacy and modern access control panels. Built-in NFC multi-group capability enables mobile credential support via HID Mobile Access via native Bluetooth integration. ICE1537 encryption secures credential exchange, and surface-mounted installation keeps wiring straightforward.

Compatibility

The 20TKS-03-011E5A integrates with HID access control systems and third-party panels that accept Wiegand or OSDP input. Wiegand MAP1:DF protocol mapping and CSN suppression are standard. The reader pairs with HID Mobile Adapter (MOBADPH) for environments mixing physical and mobile credentials. Red LED indicator and green flash notification signal reader status; buzzer feedback is enabled. Surface-mounted configuration works with standard conduit and junction-box installations. No keypad is included in this model — if numeric entry or PIN authentication is required at the reader, specify a Signo 20 with integrated keypad (2 × 6 or 3 × 4 layout) instead.

Installation Notes

Mount via surface-mounted baseplate using standard security fasteners. The reader includes automatic surface recalibration to optimize read-range performance in the installed environment — tap detection is disabled by default.
