Overview
The Panduit HSTT150-C is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing designed for electrical insulation, mechanical protection, and strain relief on cable assemblies and wire harnesses. Its 1.5-inch (38.1mm) expanded diameter and high shrink ratio make it suitable for bundling moderate to large gauge wires and protecting connectors in industrial and commercial environments. This tubing shrinks to provide a snug, durable fit, preventing abrasion and environmental ingress.
Compatibility
This heat shrink tubing is designed for general-purpose use with a wide range of electrical wiring and cable termination applications. It is compatible with standard heat guns and induction heaters used for wire and cable management in surveillance, IT, and automation deployments. Specific compatibility is determined by the cable bundle diameter fitting within the 1.5-inch expanded size and shrinking down to a secure fit.
Installation Notes
For optimal performance, ensure the tubing is cut to the required length, slid over the cable bundle or termination, and then heated evenly with a heat gun until it fully shrinks and conforms to the shape. Maintain a safe distance from the heat source to avoid scorching or damaging the underlying wires. A minimum shrink temperature of 90°C (194°F) is required, with a full recovery temperature of 125°C (257°F).
