Geovision 125-LPR00LR2812-001 License Plate Recognition Pole Mount
Overview
The Geovision 125-LPR00LR2812-001 (GV-LPR2812-DL) is a specialized license plate recognition camera engineered for vehicle identification at entry/exit points, toll booths, and traffic corridors. Unlike general-purpose surveillance cameras, this unit deploys deep learning processing at the edge (DLPU) to recognize plate characters in real time without offloading to a backend server. The compact pole-mount form factor (4.92" W × 6.50" H × 1.18" D, 1.54 lb) fits standard traffic posts without heavy structural reinforcement. PoE (802.3af) power delivery eliminates the need for separate 12V supplies, simplifying field installation and reducing cable runs.
Compatibility
The 125-LPR00LR2812-001 integrates with Geovision management platforms and any ONVIF-compatible IP camera system or VMS that supports LPR analytics ingestion. Edge-based DLPU processing means the camera performs plate recognition independently—results are sent to a connected access control system (such as Geovision GV-ASManager) or standalone database for vehicle matching and access decisions. The unit does not require a specific host camera system; it functions as a standalone LPR appliance on standard Ethernet and PoE infrastructure.
Installation Notes
The GV-Mount450 pole bracket accommodates pole diameters from Ø 130 to 165 mm (5.12 to 6.5 inches) with steel strap attachment. Varifocal lens adjustment (5.1–51mm focal length, 55.2° horizontal FOV wide to 7.1° telephoto) allows field tuning to match your vehicle approach angle and capture distance. Ensure the lens focal length is set appropriately for the speed and distance at your entry point—faster approaches or longer distances require tighter zoom settings to maintain readable character-level plate detail. PoE power draw is minimal under 802.3af limits, so standard PoE switches and injectors will supply the unit without strain.
