Description

Geovision 55-IRC16-1ED GV-IRCAM 10M V2 Cable

Overview

The 55-IRC16-1ED is a 10-meter power and signal cable built for Geovision GV-IRCAM infrared camera systems. It delivers DC 12V and signal connectivity from control unit to camera head, solving the distance problem in installations where the power source or recorder sits more than a few meters from the lens. The 10-meter length handles most interior runs and mid-range outdoor deployments without signal loss or voltage drop that would dim the IR emitters or corrupt video telemetry.

Compatibility

This cable is a direct replacement for GV-IRCAM V2 camera systems. It is specific to Geovision's IRCAM product line and supports the DC 12V power architecture of that family. If you are extending or replacing an existing GV-IRCAM installation, this cable maintains the same connector pinout and voltage specification as the original.

Installation Notes

The 55-IRC16-1ED carries both power (DC 12V) and signal over a single cable bundle. Route it away from high-current AC mains to prevent inductive coupling that can degrade the video signal or introduce hum into audio. If the cable run approaches 10 meters in a noisy electrical environment (near fluorescent ballasts, motor controllers, or VFDs), consider conduit or shielded routing. Coil excess length loosely rather than kinked—tight bends can crack the inner conductors over time.
