Description

Geovision GV-BL3700 3MP H.265 IR Bullet Camera

Overview

The Geovision GV-BL3700 is a 3MP bullet-style IP camera built for 24/7 surveillance in mixed-lighting and low-light environments. H.265 compression cuts bandwidth and storage overhead by roughly 50% compared to H.264—a real advantage in bandwidth-constrained retail, warehouse, and remote-site deployments. The camera pairs 3MP resolution with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) to hold detail across scenes with extreme exposure variation—bright windows alongside dark corners—and integrates infrared night vision for complete-darkness operation. DC 12V power keeps wiring simple for wall, eave, and pole mounting scenarios.

Compatibility

The GV-BL3700 is designated IPCAM (IP camera) and integrates with standard networked surveillance systems via ONVIF-compatible video management platforms. It functions as a standalone IP camera on any infrastructure supporting H.265 and H.264 streams. Compatible with NVR and VMS deployments ranging from small single-site installations to multi-location operations. Confirm your NVR or management software supports H.265 playback and storage—most modern systems do, but older platforms may require H.264 fallback.

Installation Notes

DC 12V power supply required (not included). Standard RJ-45 network connection for IP connectivity. Bullet housing is engineered for straightforward wall or pole mounting with minimal visual profile. Ensure adequate clearance around the camera body for heat dissipation during extended IR operation. Position the camera to avoid pointing directly into harsh backlight or high-intensity light sources, which can degrade WDR performance even with Forensic-grade processing.
