Overview
The Geovision AVD270W-0010 is a 1080p outdoor bullet camera built for perimeter surveillance where day/night coverage and impact resistance are non-negotiable. The varifocal 2.8–12mm lens lets you dial in horizontal field of view on site—108° wide or 30° narrow—without swapping glass. WDR handles backlit entrances and sun-washed loading docks. IR Day/Night with integrated cut filter ensures continuous monitoring after dark. At 1.63 lbs and 120mm diameter, the compact form factor fits tight mounting spaces; IP67 and IK10 ratings shrug off direct water jets and vandal impact common at warehouse and building perimeters.
Compatibility
The AVD270W-0010 streams H.265 and supports standard IPCAM cabling—compatible with any IP-based VMS or NVR ecosystem that accepts ONVIF streams. The model draws under 13W via single PoE (802.3af), meaning it integrates into existing PoE switch infrastructure without requiring dedicated 12V supplies or additional power conditioning. Wall, ceiling, pole, pendant, corner, and rack mounting options (using Geovision GV-Mount series brackets) adapt the camera to varied site layouts—convex/concave corner housings, pole straps for Ø2.6–5.0" diameter posts, and in-ceiling trim rings are available separately.
Installation Notes
The varifocal mechanism requires focus adjustment at installation—set focal length and iris before final bracket tightening to avoid refocusing after sealing. H.265 encoding demands VMS or NVR support for real-time decoding; check your recorder's codec list before deployment. Operating range is -40°C to 60°C, suitable for most outdoor US climates but confirm for extreme-cold warehouse environments.
