Description

Middle Atlantic LT-GN Gooseneck LED Light with USB Connector

Overview

The LT-GN is a USB-powered gooseneck LED light designed for rack and cabinet environments where technicians need hands-free, consistent task lighting during installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting. The flexible gooseneck neck positions the light precisely where it's needed — targeting a specific cable run, module slot, or patch field — without requiring a separate power supply or AC outlet. USB connectivity draws power directly from an available port on a rack-mounted device or USB hub, keeping the install clean and cable-managed. TAA compliance makes the LT-GN a viable option for government facilities and federally funded projects that require domestic or trade-agreement-sourced equipment.

Compatibility

The LT-GN is designed for use with Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure systems, including the C-Series, BGR Series, and ESSENTIALS Series rack cabinets that feature accessible USB ports or paired USB hub accessories. It is also compatible with any rack accessory or equipment chassis providing a standard USB Type-A port. For installations without a convenient onboard USB port, pair with a dedicated USB hub or a rack power strip that includes USB charging outputs — common in AV and AV rack solution builds where the LT-GN sees frequent use. Verify that the host USB port delivers sufficient current (standard USB 2.0 at 500mA is sufficient for LED task lights of this type) before routing the connection.

Installation Notes

The gooseneck design allows tool-free positioning — bend the neck to the required angle and the light holds its position. Route the USB cable along existing cable management pathways to avoid interference with airflow or adjacent equipment. TAA-compliant sourcing means no additional country-of-origin documentation is required for most GSA or federal contract purchases — confirm with your contracting officer if your specific vehicle has additional requirements.
